科尔说道：“我认为这次训练营中最让我兴奋的一点，就是我可以认真地跟小伙子们说，首发的位置都是可得的。上赛季，我们的首发换了又换，我们派出过维金斯、库明加和追梦的小阵容。在赛季后半段，我们想要增大阵容的尺寸，于是把TJD提上首发。我认为大家上赛季都在首发实验当中，包括波杰姆斯基也是。

“这不是简简单单的就像‘嘿，波杰姆斯基是坐在板凳席上的第二好后卫，他就该首发。’必须是哪种组合能奏效，同时要保证替补席能有人站出来，我们会做接下来几周搞清楚这事。”
